DEADWOOD, S.D. (07/14/25) – The Ozark Mountain Daredevils, a legendary American rock band known for their distinctive fusion of country, rock, and pop, will bring their farewell tour “When It Shines” to Deadwood Mountain Grand on Thursday, September 18th at 8:00 p.m.
Formed in the early 1970s, The Ozark Mountain Daredevils are best known for their chart-topping hits “If You Wanna Get To Heaven” and “Jackie Blue.” Over the past five decades, they’ve shared stages with icons like Willie Nelson, The Doobie Brothers, Fleetwood Mac, and more. Still featuring founding member John Dillon and longtime members Michael “Supe” Granda, Dave Painter, and Kelly Brown, they’re joined by drummer Nick Sibley, keyboardist Bill Brown, and percussionist Ron Gremp.
Their discography includes ten albums on A&M Records—including It’ll Shine When It Shines and Don’t Look Down—plus two Columbia Records releases. In recent years, they’ve added Off the Beaten Path (2022) and the live album and concert film Jackie Blue Live (2023).
Now, with grateful hearts and decades of music behind them, the band hits the road for one final tour celebrating their 50+ year legacy.
