DEADWOOD, S.D. (04/16/23) – Born from rowdy, dust-filled roots, the Red Dirt country and southern rock influenced band from west Texas, Treaty Oak Revival will make a stop at the 4 time Academy of Country Music (ACM) award nominee for ‘Casino of the Year – Theater’, Deadwood Mountain Grand on Wednesday, June 19th.
The band who has been receiving some of the best reviews in the country have racked up over 1.6 monthly listeners on Spotify and with only five years under their belt, a Grand Ole Opry debut just makes sense.
An invitation-only stage, the Opry stands as the country’s biggest honor. Megastars like Loretta Lynn, Hank Williams, Carrie Underwood, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks stood in the same wooden circle to be graced by Treaty Oak Revival earlier in February of 2024.
“The first time we were in Nashville, I met a guy at a concert who puts on the Highway 30 Music Fest. Unbeknownst to me, his wife is on the Opry team for finding talent. He got me in contact with her and I started inquiring, but it usually takes bands quite some time to be invited,” Eli Kidd, Treaty Oak’s tour manager, explained. “She got with her team — it’s a whole group who decides — she put us in front of them, they looked at our stats and credentials and decided they’d extend us an offer.”
Treaty Oak Revival consists of Sam Canty (lead singer/acoustic guitar), Lance Vanley (rhythm, electric/background vocals), Jeremiah Vanley (lead, electric guitar), Andrew Carey (bass) and Cody Holloway (drums). Their sound is rooted in Texas/Red Dirt country but draws from southern rock and punk influences, ultimately leading to a combination of styles that make the end product raw and refreshingly rough around the edges. The bands’s latest release “Have a Nice Day” is currently streaming on all platforms.
Tickets go on sale for Deadwood Mountain Grand Reward Members at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 16th and to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday, April 19th.
