Deadwood Mountain Grand Announces 2026 Deadwood Red Dirt Festival Lineup: Two nights of red dirt and honky-tonk heat return Jan. 16–17, 2026

DEADWOOD, S.D. (08/18/25) – Deadwood Mountain Grand is bringing the fire to the middle of winter once again, announcing the full lineup for the 2026 Deadwood Red Dirt Festival. The two-night event, set for Friday and Saturday, Jan. 16–17, will feature some of the biggest names and brightest rising stars in red dirt and Texas country music.

Friday, Jan. 16 will be headlined by Wyoming native Chancey Williams, a saddle bronc athlete turned neo-traditional country powerhouse. Williams has shared stages with Toby Keith, Cody Johnson, Alan Jackson and more, performed at Red Rocks Amphitheatre and the Grand Ole Opry, and is the only singer-songwriter endorsed by Cinch. His sixth studio album, “One of These Days,” has been hailed by People, Billboard and Saving Country Music as a pure shot of cowboy authenticity.

Supporting Friday night is Walker Montgomery, the son of John Michael Montgomery and nephew of Montgomery Gentry’s Eddie Montgomery. With more than 40 million streams on his breakout ballad “She Don’t Know,” a Grand Ole Opry debut and a string of fan-favorite singles, Montgomery blends classic country roots with modern polish. Opening the night is Cody Cozz, a Nashville-based artist from Pueblo, Colorado. A former Grindstone Records signee under Craig Campbell, Cozz has shared stages with Jon Pardi, Chris Young, Koe Wetzel and more, and is known for his CMT-premiered single “On My Way” and co-write “Sounds Like a Small Town.”

Saturday, Jan. 17 will be headlined by Texas honky-tonk revivalist Braxton Keith, a Warner Music Nashville artist whose throwback twang, high-energy shows and fresh songwriting have earned him spots on Spotify’s New Boots and Breakout Country playlists. His latest single, “Cozy,” showcases a smooth ’80s country style with a modern edge.

Supporting Saturday night is Oklahoma’s Southall, formerly the Read Southall Band. With more than 230 million streams, their self-titled new album blends red dirt grit with country, rock and roll, and a hard-working spirit. Kicking off the evening are The Kruse Brothers, whose unique blend of classical training, blues, rock and country creates a dynamic live sound that’s making waves in the scene.
